Registered users may be able to buy medical marijuana in Lancaster in about two months.
A Facebook post by Cure Pennsylvania, which won a license to operate a dispensary here, said, “Looking at a mid-March opening for our Lancaster location.”
The Pennsylvania law passed in 2016 and under development since then will let those with specific medical conditions who are certified by a participating doctor get certain forms of medical marijuana from licensed dispensaries.
Officials say the medical marijuana should be available this spring.
The small store is at 1864 Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township, in part of the former Kmart plaza.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has given just one dispensary the final OK to start serving patients, in Bethlehem, but said it expects to issue more final approvals soon.
