Lt. Gov. Randy McNally is predicting a close vote on a measure to allow medical marijuana in Tennessee.
Speaking to reporters Thursday, McNally, who has been openly opposed to the measure, said he thought the legislation could potentially be decided in committee by just one vote.
He added he thought the measure would ultimately fail.
The legislation, which would allow Tennesseans to consume cannabis oil-based manufactured products for a host of maladies, has yet to be taken up in the Senate.
McNally said the Senate will likely continue to delay action on the issue until after the lower chamber takes it up further.
