Hawaii’s medical marijuana industry continues to grow as Honolulu-based dispensary, Cure Oahu prepares to open its doors later this month. The 2,400 square-foot facility is located at 727 Kapahulu Avenue, and will be Oahu’s third dispensary.
The company will offer locally-grown medical-grade cannabis products to registered 329 cardholders.
“On Oahu 6,900 individuals have those cards,” Cure Oahu’s dispensary director, George Bullock said. “For Oahu it means another choice another option.”
Cure Oahu says it will provide its customers the option to either order on-line for pick-up, or to make in-store purchases.
“Once the patient actually comes in and goes through security they come to one of these kiosks and they can request assistance or actually order right at the counter if they prefer,” assistant dispensary director, Tori Staples said. “Once we get the order, we actually fill it right out back and then bring them right on into the dispensing area.”
In accordance with State Department of Health regulations, Bullock says all purchases are to be sold in opaque child-resistant containers. Cure Oahu adds that the company will also be accepting an alternate form of payment, besides “cash only.”
