A cannabis dispensary set to open later this year in Salinas has received a state license to sell recreational marijuana.
East of Eden, at 514 Work St. in South Salinas, has received the state license required to sell cannabis to anyone 21 and older, according to the Bureau of Cannabis Control.
It’s unclear how soon the dispensary will open, and East of Eden staff were unavailable for comment Thursday afternoon. The address is currently vacant.
When open, it will be the first storefront operation to receive an adult-use license in Salinas, though cannabis delivery outfit Purple Trilogy has also received an adult use license.
A Purple Trilogy representative, reached by phone Thursday afternoon, declined to comment before consulting other members
